Have you heard of the Bowker Lake Festival?

The Bowker Lake Festival was once a major and much-loved community event. Every summer, between 5,000 and 30,000 visitors gathered at David Hall, located on Route 220 near Bowker Lake, to enjoy a vibrant showcase of arts and crafts, sporting activities, and cultural events.

Discover the story of this remarkable festival through a short presentation and a video featuring archival documents, photographs, and film footage, along with interviews with several volunteers who helped bring this memorable community project to life.

For those who wish to participate, the presentation will be followed by a guided walk to the former festival site. Walking shoes are recommended. Afterwards, join us for a friendly picnic—bring your own lunch!
